Role
Coordinates and compiles the Department of Surgery’s annual report , research reports and related publications providing relevant research information and reports to other departments of Deakin University and Barwon Health.
Anne provides high quality confidential and general administrative support to:

The Chair of Surgery, Associate Professor in Surgery and the Senior Lecturer in Surgery

Non academic staff of the Department of Surgery - procedural advice.

Responsibilities in the provision of clinical services, liaising with theatre staff, outpatients, anaesthetics and Private Hospitals for both private and public patients

Coordinate patient appointments and billing thereof

General Surgical Fellows and Registrars sited within the department.

Preparing rosters for academic meetings and oncall

Organising and coordinating the teaching program for 3rd year Surgery students and 4th year elective students
An important role involves liaising with the Deakin Clinical School in regards to research and clinical training responsibilities of the Department of Surgery Academics, Surgical research for Deakin students and Surgical Registrars.
The Department of Surgery is strongly integrated with University Hospital Geelong, therefore although primarily responsible to Deakin University, many of the roles are related to Barwon Health and other agencies.
